I bought this laptop for work (software development) and travel. The first thing I needed to do was up the RAM to 12GB which was simple and cheap. Now I can run my pair of development Linux VMs along with Windows and it works great. Battery life is great when travelling too. After I used it for a couple of months, I decided to toss the hard drive and replace with a 512GB SSD (Crucial m4). That turned out to be a fantastic upgrade - it was fast before, but now it screams. I use it all day every day, usually with a second 1080 screen attached.I had a problem that required contacting support - getting into the BIOS settings via F2 is intermittent, but they confirmed it really is F2 and it did finally work. Then it took me a while to figure out about booting from the CD reader. I was trying to boot a disk I burned myself that required the Legacy boot setting in BIOS. I didn't realize that the UEFI default will only work on commercial disks like Windows installers. Support had no clue on this and it just silently fails in this case. Change the UEFI setting to Legacy and it's good to go. Change it back for Windows.Videos, browsing, music, HDMI, SD reader, super quick wake up (under a second!), this machine has it all. It's light and robust. I've had it over 3 months so I think this exact model has been replaced but I wouldn't hesitate to buy this line again someday.Overall I would rate it 4.75 stars, minus 1/4 for not supporting more than 12GB of ram and because Support wasn't so knowledgeable about a problem that MANY people are having.
