New Model...Use Caution

I purchased this 3 months ago...Laptop loads quickly and no complaints until now. The dc jack has gone bad and because this is a new design model, the in home warranty repair is not an option. It needs to be sent to them which means 2-3 wks without it. I use my laptop for research and now I will be without it for a few wks. Buyers need to be aware of this glitch. The in home repair for warranty is the reason I have chosen Sony over others and was not aware of this policy. Otherwise, the laptop is fine. The dc jack is an issue with laptops too...my son has a sony and had to have his sent in by a local computer repair shop for the same issue and my daughter is struggling with her HP and dc jack. There seems to be a bad lot of them made which isn't the fault of Sony or HP but stinks for customers.
