I purchased this laptop back in the end of November (Black Friday/Cyber Monday). I had already put in at least several hours worth of research toward a new laptop computer. For starters, this laptop was at the peak of the price range I considered. I also talked to numerous people who at least claim to know about computers ranging from those working at Best Buy, to friends & co-workers, and on to IT students here at the University I attend. I ended up buying this computer from the others that were in my final line up based on the machine specifications and also the reputation of Toshiba both from other reviews on-line as well as people I know who have Toshiba laptops. It also helped to have the reassurance to buy from Amazon and how well they do with taking care of their customers should problems arise.I use this laptop daily and have not had any problems at all. For me the 6 GB of RAM was and still is one of the highlights for me on this model. So much faster than my old computer!!As far as any cons, I already read from other reviews that the web cam is poor quality. I agree however, I just use one that I plug into one of the USB's to get a better quality video image. Other than that, I could say that the mouse pad placement seems a tiny bit off but as long as I'm not lazy and keep the heel of my hands up then it is fine.Great computer though for the price!! If any of my friends were within the same budget on a new laptop computer, I'd totally recommend this one any day.

I've had the P755 for 6 weeks now, and I'm very pleased with it. It's fast, reliable, and the video quality on a VGA external monitor is excellent. The track pad isn't always the best for scrolling, but I've been using the laptop as a desktop replacement with external mouse, so it isn't an issue. I still have a Toshiba Libretto that's 7 years old and works fine, so I trust my new laptop will continue to perform well.

Regrettably, my custom built red Toshiba laptop was stolen in 2012. This purchase was a "quick" replacement. I focused on the internal specs because the color red was no longer an option. Honestly, I do not care for the case design. It is plastic and does not hide that fact. On my stolen laptop, the plastic was smooth and had more of a solid feel. The harman/kardon speakers are an improvement for this model. I also like the display much better. The hard drive is quieter on this unit. On the stolen unit, the hard drive would whirr at times and I was certain it was going to die at any moment. I'm not a gamer but I do watch videos and movies. The quality has been good. I also plug this into my HD TV and stream movies and play dvd's on occasion. Another plus is that I can sit this laptop on my lap and it doesn't get too hot or overheat. I think the placement of vents are better on this unit. My initial plan was to use this for a few months until I could order a customized unit directly from Toshiba. Yeah, color is important to me. Don't tell me about skins and covers. Tried that - don't like it -waste of money. There are only 2 brands that I will buy - HP & Toshiba. At the time of purchase, Toshiba offered the best options for the price.
